AFEELA | Data Musification

Data Musification was introduced as part of the Meet AFEELA exhibition at Ginza Sony Park. The project explores how sensing data captured from mobility and the surrounding city can become a new musical experience.

For the exhibition, cameras installed on the rooftop of Ginza Sony Park captured the area around Sukiyabashi Crossing. The movement of cars and people was analyzed alongside contextual information such as weather and temperature, then converted into music in real time.

The generated music was created in collaboration with musician Hikaru Arata, leader of WONK, and presented through a large screen and speakers at the venue.
